What is core wood good for Valheim?

Core Wood is a special kind of wood that you can find in Valheim. Its main use is to be burned to make charcoal, but it is also used in some arts and crafts projects. Core wood is much less useful than regular wood, even though it is harder to get.

Core wood is a rare type of wood, but you can still get it even if you don’t have a Bronze Axe. This means that Fine Wood trees are the only ones that are hard to cut down early in the game. Even though it might be hard for new players to stay alive in the Black Forest and collect pine trees, the benefits will be worth it.

How to Get Valheim Core Wood?

If you want to get some Core wood, you’ll have to go to the Black Forest. This is the second type of biome that can be found in Valheim. There are more dangerous enemies there, like different kinds of Greydwarf and skeletons with swords or bows and arrows.

The first thing you should do when you reach a Black Forest is looking for pine trees. Make sure you don’t mix these trees with the bigger firms, since these trees are much thinner. You can find out what kind of tree it is by getting close to it and putting your mouse cursor on the tree’s trunk.

With a stone axe, you can cut down pine trees quickly, so get to it.

After the tree has been cut down, keep cutting the logs. Eventually, each one will break into a bundle of wood and Core wood as it is exposed.

How Do You Make Core Wood?

In Valheim, you’ll need to cut down some pine trees to get Core Wood. Most of the time, you’ll find these in the Black Forest biome. Just look for trees with dark wood that have triangle-shaped green shapes. You can also grow pine cones in a Cultivator, which will let you grow Core Wood. This is the fastest and most practical way to reach that goal.
